The Mayan tribes of Central America had dozens of different calendars to measure time, to mark seasons, agriculture cycles, and preform sacred ceremonies. There is one calendar that has 'survived' thousands of years, and is still familiar to us today, it is the Tzolkin calendar - the sacred count of 260 'days' based on 20:13 ratio, the wheel of time. Toward the end of the millennium, a man named José Argüelles claimed to be the reincarnation of Pacal Votan, the great ruler of Palenque in Mexico. He said that he had received a channeling & spiritual guidance to spread the sacred count worldwide, as a tool to save humanity from extinction. Together with his wife, Argüelles changed the order of the count of days, added additional layers to the symbols, now known as a Galactic Signature, and introduced the concept of Galactic Activation Portal days. (the loom of time) Eventually, in 1987, they introduced the Dreamspell, an enchanted cycle of days, based on the 13 Moon calendar. Their mission was to spread this count of time around the world, and it seems they had succeeded in doing so. So, it turns out that we have a galactic signature according to the Dreamspell, and we have the ancient symbol, according to the classical Mayan calendar, different from the symbol we got at the Dreamspell. These are different conversions of the same table (20:13) both systems are based on the same 20 sun signs (bearing different names, even through Central America) and 13 lunar tones, again, with a difference between the names, but not in the sequence. From my personal experience spanning over 25 years of decoding galactic birth-dates, I’ve observed that the Galactic Seal serves as an earthly road-map, while the classical Mayan symbol is our soul chart. Remarkably, these two are synchronized. Back to the subject - thanks to the Dreamspell & the 13 moon calendar movement, the awareness to the Tzolkin calendar began to trickle down the western collective consciousness. This growing awareness, sparked a debate: what is the 'true' Mayan calendar? The answer is straightforward; the Dreamspell is not the original Tzolkin!
Argüelles himself said that the Dreamspell is an adaptation of the sacred Tzolkin, redesigned for modern times to align with the acceleration and complexity of contemporary life, Over time, it has been proven effective, the 13 moon calendar allows better synchronization with life's rhythms. So, What symbol represents today? What energy does it bring? Reed or Earth? a Mirror or Jaguar? Or perhaps both? Consider how many interpretations exist for the same date across various calendars — Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Chinese or Mayan. While each uses different counting methods, different symbols, numbers, or even letters, it remains the same day, expressed uniquely according to each tradition's perspective, realized for each individual according to their reality. Argüelles simplified the symbols for the Western mind by "squaring" them and organizing the calendar into a 3D rectangular structure. Yet, the Dreamspell expanded the perception of time for many people around the world, sparking global interest in the original Tzolkin calendar, which had been quite obscured outside Central America. The symbols in the classical calendar are more complexed in their appearance and names too, and their location on the board is different, but still, these are the same powerful 20 symbols in the same sequence (order), only the count starts in a different place (symbol). Therefore, we have two different conversions for the same Gregorian date. Now, this debate wouldn't have been started without the Dreamspell! After all, anyone who really wanted to dive deeper into the Maya calendar, quickly learned that the Dreamspell is a relatively new calendar, and that It's origin is the classic long count, where each day corresponds to a different symbol. To my opinion, if there are people who call the Dreamspell the Tzolkin, it's not so bad, or a huge mistake, because if they know the 20 symbols and 13 tones, they know the Tzolkin, no matter where they start counting from. These are the same 20 powerful symbols carrying special codes that awakens deep coding within us, humans. It's quit clear that there is only one 'true' Tzolkin, and that the Dreamspell is a wonderful gift which humanity received towards the end of the millennium, a significant tool for cracking the Matrix, and a bridge to go in-depth study of the holy Tzolkin calendar. I'm honored and grateful to José Argüelles and the 13 moon movement for exposing me to this transmotive knowledge, years ago, Like many, I first learned about the Mayan calendar through the Dreamspell. I deeply respect the Mayan teachers of Central America and honor their wisdom, even though they may not recognize the Dreamspell's contribution to humanity's evolution. This lack of recognition is unfortunate because, in my view, there is room for both calendars, and I will do my best to explain the difference between them.
